shining blue

color of trust

Gaze at the sun

shining bright

color of light

in a game of must.

Newness

by Bhavya Prabhakar, India

Screen Shot 2018-07-22 at 11.16.59 pm.png

The skyscrapers

In a black city

Attracting the throng

To surrender the things

When the sense

Of newness wears off.

Build an attempt

So high

With an aim so tight

To render love

In a warm and vivid

Colors of shine.

Struggle

by Bhavya Prabhakar, India

Screen Shot 2018-06-05 at 12.13.49 am.png

My pen is shaking

I am agitated

My notepad is topsy-turvy

With the struggle

I revere the most

In this bloomy air.

The confusion relies

On my pen

Am I writing sense

Where are the words

What come before

And after.

PURITY

by Bhavya Prabhakar, India

Screen Shot 2018-06-02 at 1.10.33 am.png

He peeled his skin, to see if

the blood has same purity as

the redness in his eyes,

the fact is silence

in the moonshine.

Purity has which colour

red or white

or is it because of the wine,

he coloured him red, to see if

he feels the purity as

the pure love in her eyes.

HEAT

by Bhavya Prabhakar, India

The sunburns are red

The tanning is gold

The marks are real

The sweat is glowing

With the heat of the town.

She is burning

He is burning

To fire the conscious

To light the lamp

In the heat of the sun.

Trust

by Bhavya Prabhakar, India

Screen Shot 2018-05-30 at 12.15.29 am.png

Having layers so thin

Attached to the strings

Important and must

To carry forward

The loyalty in you.

Is it difficult or easy

To take the burden

Is it inbuilt or

We have to build the talent

To satisfy the norms.

“What I write

why I write

for what I write,

have to read

between the lines,” said the note book.

“Are you guilty

of what you did

why you feel,

have to understand

the reasons behind,” said the pen.

Take a break

by Bhavya Prabhakar, India

Screen Shot 2018-05-23 at 2.14.02 am.png

Pack your bags

Take a flight

To the dreams

Of wine.

Feel that wooziness

Creating much craziness

Was it a passion

Or a desire?

Break the rules

Not the laws

Love the people

Not the pretentious.

Maturity

To release the tensed

Coming with drawbacks

In a dose of love.

He said, “Maturity is key

to end the unwanted shouts,

trying to be real

along with the reflection

in the eyes.”

INJECT AND INFECT

Inject and infect

The love in my veins

To surrender the pain

To be lost in your aim.

The infection is not in the blood

It’s in the mainstream of the love

The soul wants the cure

In the form of art of love.

LOSE OR GAIN

“Love is the way messengers

from the mystery tell us things.

Love is the mother

we are her children.

She shines inside us,

visible-invisible, as we trust

or lose trust, or feel it start to grow again.”

Stop and Stare

by Bhavya Prabhakar, India

Stop and stare

At the mirror

Is it the same reflection

When you were guilty?

The guilt raised the voice,

“I am not guilty

Of the old sin

Cemented with heavy bricks

Of the cold war.”

She insisted on the fact

“ why to play this game?

when the glory is all set

to open the wings

In the kitchen!!

by Bhavya Prabhakar, India

Screen Shot 2018-05-03 at 8.50.06 pm.png

That figure

Coming to my mind

Like the intervals of time

With some excuses

To cheat in the present

With the past hours.

Why to crib

For the sake of

Was it like a cupcake!

With a strawberry touch

Soft and spongy

To water the lips

With the desire of.

The cords have been trashed

That figure is blurred now

With the passage of time

Still wondering in the moonlight

If I could have a glimpse,

I would have shown the courage

Inside the foolish fellow.

It sucks just temporarily

When the figure is no more a figure

It has become a dark spot

With some darker shades

Just to ruin you from outside.

Smelling the past

Was sometimes an easy attempt

To cook and fry the present

In a crispy way

With a mint flavour

To sauté some figures

In a fresh recipe of life.

Heaven’s Christmas Celebration

by 50djohnson

Poetry challenge: Christmas poem.

.

by  Debbie

.

Having Loved Ones in heaven at Christmas sometimes makes the holidays very melancholy.   As Christians we have a hope others do not. That hope is to be with them again around the throne of God , the great I AM. I lost six dear family members in less than 9 months in 2012. This is 3rd Christmas without them… with the empty place setting, with no present for them under the tree. But thanks be to Jesus for He has set us free! Merry Christmas. Have you ever wondered if they celebrate Christmas in heaven?
