when October wasn’t here
as back in late September
I could tell the fall was near
And now the leaves are turning
the green it fades away
as a new season greets us
with each October day

Enigma ~ Acrostic VI
Ever am I enticed by your advance and retreat
New again, this old dance of ours so sweet
Intrigued that your heart is now to me returned
Guarding my own against that for which I’ve yearned
Me, entranced and on my knees
And you, the riddle inside a mystery
