The Christmas Tree Shines

Earth, neither Hell nor Heaven

Neither afraid of hell,
Nor enamored of heaven,
I am that fallen angel

in the gentle descent
in formless joy
doors still tight
in knobs of dawn
come angels
without dust

ANGEL TEARS FALL

Angel tears fall from the sky,
As they lay watching from the clouds,
Saddened by the world they see,
They cry to see our fear.

An Angel’s Lament

Find me, where lonesome weeping echoes drift across the battlefield.
Find me, beyond the graves of fellows, whose wounds were never healed.
Find me, when only silent hearses search the lea for those who might remain.
Find me, upon the crest of death himself, within the blood there dried and stained.

Would you run away from heaven?
We both know I won’t be there,
Take me back to empty earth,
Whole planet for just ourselves,

Lotus positioned, cross-legged

Poised, eyes closed

Waveforms of thoughts Sail across

The old old man and the tiny little baby

The old old man

Lies quietly on his lonely bed

His eyes are closed

The angels sing of his fear

That his time is near

The tiny little baby opens his eyes

He shivers from the coolness of night

Even though he is wrapped up warm

Does no one hear his crying?

Is he lying here, dying?
