They say your in a better place

They say your in a better place
But what the hell do they know
They say your always with me
As I shake my head real slow
There is no better place for you,

“Death chariots, snake charmers, and a childlike sense of wonder”

by Harry

Submitted by zaroffpoetry

.

Two hearts could hold a lake of love
and be just a row boats oar apart;
others hold knives to throats, threatening
their very existence.

An American Satire

by Harry

Submitted by Peter M Burns
.

The elephant sitting in a sycamore tree
Lazily peeling a banana for his tea
Pauses to wonder why ants are free
To march with banners extolling
Demands to ban pesticides that are
Harmful to them and pollenating bees.

The COMPLEXITY of TIME

by Harry

Submitted by Emphorium

.

What is it I elude to
Within the complexities of time.
The arrows of time,
The linearity of time,
Or is it space time,
Or the simple neglectful
Waste of anyone’s’ time?

The creative well is all dried out

by Harry

Submitted by Catherine Keller

The creative well is all dried out
Hiding the truth in plain sight
Seasons change and so do we
In this dysfunctional paradise.
Another day about to be wasted
As a fading youth
Trapped within these ink-splattered pages.

Vladimir

by Harry

Submitted by Ed Ehren

.

Each time that he see’s Vladimir
He wants to take it up the rear
Mind you, not because he’s queer
But what he did to get him here.

Pretending it’s your lips

by Harry

Submitted by Meg Eliza

.

Kissing the rim of my coffee cup
Pretending it’s your lips
Imagining the feeling
Of your hands upon my hips
Where hands meet hips and hearts meet lips
I never could imagine something better

Vexes

by Harry

We’re always chasing, killing and craving time
There will always be bullies
Whether it be in the sandbox
Or the Senate.

Caravan

by Harry

Submitted by Pratik Bose

Night after night
My city passes through
Some drowsy dark eyes..

When I die
I scarcely think
But I bleed all because of fading past

Third party-

by Harry

Submitted by Meg eliza

.
Another slam poem about love right,
But the thing ill never understand is the way that your hand;
Can fit so perfectly into another’s.
that happiness is monumental but so momentary.
I don’t know maybe it’s just me or my inability to see the cracks and creases in the broken pieces of your smile.

“Copper 2”

by Harry

Submitted by zaroffpoetry

.

Smells like parvo beagles

birthday money tests

bleeding from the eyes

beat up bookshelves on dressers

learning to put down live animals so they won’t suffer

life is a hard lesson

rocks in your throat

soft green green moss

so we grow to greater heights than before

and the kettle whistles

weighing down our clouds

as slingshots

just before launch

Tropical Dream

by Harry

Submitted by thaharbor

.

I awake to waves colliding into bleached sands as they sizzle across the seemingly-endless coastline

Waves that are a deep blue, yet also transparent; waters that appear to be pure, but are found to be brine

Its spray weaves within the wind, a mist that grazes over the beach and onto the tops of my exposed feet

‘The World is My Canvas’

by Harry

Submitted by Priyanjali Gupta

.

I open my eyes
With a purpose in my mind,
Life on it’s curvy path
It’s actually quite one-of-a- kind.
The lofty mountains,
The oceans so wide.
Browns and blues,
A palette so myriad.

Our Goodbye

by Harry

Submitted by JPhantom

.

I’m sitting across from a person who knows everything about me, but they feel like such a stranger
And we’re just looking into each other’s eyes, for they tell our story more than words could muster
A story that has succumb to the winds of a cold world, as frost it bites and gnaws at our weary souls

static

by Harry

static
I love you
he said softly
I could hear
only the static
behind his words
the crinkling of
a food wrapper
the running water
the shuffling feet
whatever I heard
was only just
static

I never felt comfortable in my own skin

by Harry

Submitted by meg eliza

.
I never felt comfortable in my own skin. But more that I never felt like my skin belonged to me. I always looked at myself as a vessel. A place that gets me from point A to B like I occupy it more than own it, I’m just renting here. It blows my mind that people don’t feel that way. I remember when I got my first tattoo and it was the first time in my entire life I felt that I owned my body.

Laugh and the World laughs with you

by Harry

Submitted by  Tom Stodulka

.

Keep that grin on your chin and you’ll be right mate.
Said to me the other day by an old timer who, passing by, has seen a thing or two in a long life.
Keep smiling – I think my Dad said that on many an occasion.
Laugh and the world laughs with you.

To busy to think

by Harry

To busy to think
To busy to blink
To busy to like the next Facebook link.

To busy to see the beggar in the seat
To busy to see the big issue seller in front of there feet.
You don’t even see the woman given out free treats .

“I Wish”

by Harry

Submitted by Priyanjali Gupta
.

All I ever wished for was a little wish to be happy. But now I wish that I might have well wished for another wish.
Because over the growing up years, through the childhood, the adolescent and the youth, the meaning of happiness has changed so many hands that I have lost count.

Just another break up letter

by Harry

Submitted by Katt

.

I love you and I tell everyone you’re just a guy from the past and they really shouldn’t worry about you trying to break my heart all over again because I’m over you.
Over you. I mean I am over you till I see you and remember everything else you did right before you decided to do what you used to see your father do on your mother, slap me across the face. Yes my love I believe you when you say you were just joking but if you joke like that imagine how you get when you are seriously mad.

The Grey

by Harry

Submitted by Tarmin N. Melgif

.

Look upon this life,
The bottle on the shelf
It’s label, it is faded
The contents ageing, old.

Time forgotten flavour,
Of last years tasteless muse
To suckle on the nectar
Is the infecting of abuse.
