A drifting Log

by Harry

Submitted by nehal

.

Life

Like a drifting log

Flows forward, downstream

Rocks and stones on the shore

Push it, detour it, force it to pause

Make it whirl and dance in the

Gushing currents!

Hey dude it’s long time

by Harry

Submitted by KRATIK LODHA
.

Hey dude it’s long time I’ve had with you,
Hoping that you’ll be with me for ever;
Many times I tried to let my worth to you,
And you’ll be able to get it if you are clever;
So just don’t be so reckless my friend,
Coz’ once i’ll go off you’ll be in regret;

A COUNTRY LANE

by Harry

Submitted by micketalbot

.

A walk down a country lane, wonders of nature on both sides
Sun shining, hedgerows in full bloom, belies the life it hides
At ground level, around its ancient roots, rabbits burrow
Badgers dig and build their sets, in random puddles tadpoles huddle
Rosebay willow herb swaying, teasing nectar seeking honey bees
Look carefully, turn a leaf, many secrets hidden under leaves.

While you, innocent, decided to buy terror

Because I, by fated attacks, was injured, but love was not

While, all the way from death, you came back, but humanity did not

Mama Bird Laid Two Eggs

by Harry

Submitted by Zenei

.

Mama bird laid two eggs,
Now she rarely stretches her legs.
At the foot of my aloe plant,
Which on a pot stands aslant.
One is bigger than the other,
Because the other came later.

HAVEN

by Harry

Submitted by Parishmita Buragohain

.
She was lost in the woods, the woods of despair,
Misery and darkness surrounded her,
shrouding her happiness.
She tried to find her way back to who she was,
What she had been, before it all happened.
She knew what she was stepping into, that one decision… and it was all over.
Now she suffers; alone in the deepest colour of dark,
Pitch black they say, pitch black it was;
waiting for a miracle to happen.

I miss being me.

by Harry

Submitted by Hazel Jay
.

I wish to walk the sea
Basking in the white light
Unknown of shadows lurking.

A soft voice whispering
Seeking to tantalise.
I strode forward, wanting
Unrequited love, I realise.

A Wife’s Poem for Her Husband

He doesn’t mind where he treads and he trips.
He avoids spiteful utterance from his lips.
This fellow mistake every word of mine for sarcasm,
But we have over-passed the chasm.

7:08 am.

by Harry

Submitted by Ben Brizell

.

Every morning now,
every cold, wet June morn
I awaken to a message from you,
the hours pass revealing the same time
each day, each morning.
Each message filled with a little black heart
at 7:08 am.

I say nay

by Harry

Submitted by Sean Messamore

.

Space rock-star, fist fight, terror in the sky
the plagues are not over quite yet
for the hour is late and the hatter is out of tea.
you have the word on the tip but the tongue is no longer there.
the sea of demons eat the land and even the new king,

HE IS IN DISTRESS

by Harry

Submitted by kratik lodha

There is a man who felt low, as such he’s kept in the claw,
And he’s getting wack, with every moment he go;
When he bring on he knows, he will be hindered by his foe,
But he had no choice, other than to let it go;;

Ooh! He is in such a distress,
Hmm why can’t he confess;
Ooh that he have to take rest,
Hmm in such a new cold place;

To Reach or Not to Reach

by Harry

Submitted by Zenei

.

On a cold Kohima night, the dew drips from the tin roof on the ceiling.

No heater and no fire. All wrapped up in our hand-woven wool shawls,

we sit watching the television. Two boys and one girl and our mother.

With a blow of the wind, electricity is cut off.

You probably wanted to be done with it,

When beauty leaves a heart fluttering

by Harry

Submitted by Balkaran Sidhu

In the world of far fetched thoughts
You are an algorithm of togetherness
Of Pain and joy

You are like a Mandarin expression
With random inflections in you
Flowing tenderly into
tributaries that lead into my heart

AS NIGHT FALLS ON KATHMANDU VALLEY

by Harry

Submitted by Zenei

.

As night falls on Kathmandu valley on a Saturday,

in a village nearby, the mothers are calling their children home

after a long leisure day under the sun and in the dust.

The smell of curries rises from the tin roofed huts,

whose walls and floors are painted with dung and mud.
