Kintsugi

by Harry

Submitted by Tsuki san

.

When beauty lies
in broken pieces
and art comes in
putting it back

Better
amalgamation transcends original
the broken cups and the broken bowls
put together with tender love
and a golden joint
that breathes life
once broken
now anew

When I do stretch my hand

by Harry

Submitted by Isaacmayespoetry

.
When I do stretch my hand toward the breeze,
and seize not some substance for my heart’s fill,
and a sad cry does sing on my soul’s keys,
an empty melody which does hope kill,
it is because I long for your embrace
and wish that there was not some terr’ble gulf,
between ourselves, although I see your face.

Time

by Harry

Submitted by Nacklo

.

There’s a soft ticking that reverberates through the mind.

It whispers “you’re late”, for what event I can’t quite place but I find it lies a lot.

Suddenly appears to disrupt the plot, corrupt a thought and then disappear.

MORNING

by Harry

Submitted by John Ford
.
All is still, no leaf makes a sound,
the moon tries in vain still to shine.
The dew on the grass catches early sunrise
and turns to a silver mist cloak for the ground.

Yesterday I saw the most delightful sight

by Harry

Submitted by Hindoya

.

Yesterday I saw the most delightful sight
the moon above and a single star alight
the winter sky was blue-black so enticing
it was a placid night captivating almost enchanting
I looked up the streaky cloud along with moonlighting
magically opened revealing a note to me inviting
for it heeded my attention in way of skywriting

by Harry

Poetry challenge: Easter poem.

.

Submitted by hindoya

.

Oh tell me Easter Bunny
what is it you find so funny?
the way your hopping and sometimes stopping
or the feeling and sight of your ears a’ flopping
could be the sound of children’s laughter
they are sure its not a carrot your after
for you are strong and fast a burrows crafter

Of Dragons and Donkeys

by Harry

Submitted by Katharyne

.

Vast darkness overtakes the sky,
clouds form, the world begins to cry.
Joints creak rheumatic ally.
My mind wanders helplessly.

I call it arthritis of the brain.
It is consistent with the rain.
Journeying to distant lands, I go
frolicking in the sun’s dark glow.

I miss you

by Harry

Submitted by Tsuki san

I wonder if I will
forget why I miss you
Why did we love?
Why did we end?
The everyday
That day
Today

Justice

by Harry

Submitted by Nacklo

.

Judge blindly, no care for stature or class.

Remember to placate the harsh truth of false brass,

The tendency to give yourself a pass while failing others.

Shy crowns of blue have just begun
To frolic and to entertain;
Roused by drops of quenching rain.

Stereotypical-

by Harry

Submitted by Adrian King

What’s my stereotype, who need I be?

There is no such absurd notion as stereotypical me.

Call me a jock, for my skill at sports

Or maybe an it-girl, for being fashion forward.

Calm is the best way

by Harry

Submitted by Nacklo

.
Calm is the best way to describe the night.

Silence hangs in the air strangely unperturbed by the only man that’s awake at 3 A.M in the morning.

The same man that is currently climbing past the suicide barriers at Clifton.

More silence, then the ugly crash of skin meeting water at 90 miles per hour, organs rip from the chest, an unconscious mans lungs fill with water.

The smug silence returns.

The Harrowing of Westminster Gore*

by Harry

Submitted by Peter Connell

.
Earth has none more gruesome to show,
Than this sick’ning vision that begs
the soul to go From this scene of slaughter
and hate Which doth wear a mantle,
implicate Of maimed and motionless shapes, over-run;
Ending in smoking mess of tangled Tucson.

Lies…

by Harry

Submitted by 23sakshi23

.

What are best friends?
Are they always there for you?
Do they keep secrets?
Do they hide from you?

Do they pretend they care?
Do they stab you in the back?
Do they actually care?
Or do they just use you?
