It was serendipity that we met.

Summer had not stated yet, but

It was the final week of school.

I decided to go to

This group met at home.

We chatted, we snacked.

You asked what I did for fun,

I smiled, didn’t answer the question.

Black, white, grey, orange,

Colorful goldfish in pond,

Admired by many.

Haiku – Flames

First flames of fireplace,

Warm flickering, dancing, glowing,

Prelude to winter.

Gold Chain

Hidden in the rocks, its value

Waits to be found.

Digging, hitting, pounding.

Comes above the ground.

What does it want to be?

It doesn’t know.

A Tiny Spider

Labors every night,

Real or Artificial

Real flowers –

Imperfect,

Evolving,

Unpredictable,

Surprising,

Life!

Saying “I Love You”

Hugging in the morning,

Kissing at night.

Saying, I love you, before

Saying, good night.

Acrostic Poem Challenge – MUSIC

Master Conductor of Orchestra,

Universe of planets and galaxies He directs.

Oh Rain!

Heavy rain pours in the morn of two to four,

Warm air lifting the clouds dropped the temperature.

Drip drop drip drop on the roof,

Sounded like a hypnotizing sooth.

Woke up to fresh misty air,

Hastily made a visit to my garden,

Rain Clouds

Yearlong drought, harsh dry air.

Grass turned golden brown, flowers shrunk.

Water rationing!

Throat burning, nostrils bleeding.

Humidifier needed.

Let the grass be golden brown,

Local Lake

Daily walk around the lake,

Mindset changed instantly.

Worry free ducks floating,

Soft birds’ chirping;

Sidewalk

She went for a walk,

Tripped on the sidewalk.

Bruised her elbow,

Broke her ankle.

Nightlight

A whale made with clay,

Original, free-handed.

Blowhole, eyes, mouth,

Nightlight shines through.

Four Seasons

Living in this part of town,

Didn’t realize autumn is here.

Outside the window I’ve seen

Maple tree is still green.

Old Faithful

Underground water

Heated and rises.

Steam forms,

Bubbling upward.

Mystic Night

Key West Waterfront,

Moisty air, foggy Eve.

Lamp posts, soft lights,

Twisted Tree

Numerous species of trees,

Swirled, crooked, or straight.

Which specie is enculturated or astray?

Once in awhile, I have an urge of

Going home to see my parents.

I shook my head hard for a few seconds,

Remembering that they were gone to heaven.

I had a secret question.

I asked for an angel to come to my rescue.

To my surprise, he arrived in disguise.

Human brain,

The most amazing thing, that

The Creator has made.

It imagines, creates,

Perceives, appreciates,

Learns, participates,

Reasons, articulates,

Hibiscus

Blooms today,

Withers tomorrow.

Gorgeous color,

Lives just one day.

Holding in my hands,

A heart full of tender love,
