darkness of winding
halls, do you chase
the minotaur? Does
your blood call
for his head or
do your ears crave
the public’s
accolades? Bring
the world this fierce
but desolate head:
the sounds of victory
will flee with the
wind, the world savors
only the freshest tribute.
