In the quiescent dark of eventide

In the scintillating light of early bright

Across the wild windswep’d savannah

And gently nudging the veiled coppice

 

Escape to Reality

 

Watch the people

Watch

Who they aren’t in public

Who they are in private

How they love each other

and hurt each other

The air is magnetic
And enigmatic
Light pulses and throbs
Through the trembling sky
Black as night
Black as the black venom
Running through your veins

The Music of Your Life

I take your frail hand in mine

Where sands of time

Have carved deep memories

Over what was once

A fresh, peachy flesh

Or so I believe

She looked at me, puzzled.

“Whatever do you mean?”

Hearts Apart
too far to realise
how close they truly are

The heat sears my skin
Sand lashes across my face
My eyes stream from the pain
As I stand still
Watching entranced as she rhythmically moves
Through the forest of people

I cannot look away
As in slow motion
Her mouth opens
And the great burnt-yellow flames of HATE
Thrust itself from the depths of her soul
And turn these mere mortals to piles of ash
