National Lego Day celebrates these incredibly ingenious and enriching toys.”

I wrote these limericks back in 2020. After Trump was defeated, I thought he would “go away,” literally and figuratively – go build hotels and golf courses in Russia, or something like that. Didn’t happen, because diseases don’t just go away, they become lethal. read more »

It amazes me that so many foods have their own day. But I have found that some are inspirational and I have had fun writing a limerick for those special days that capture my fancy. And as I am a pie lover, I love a pie limerick. Here’s one more. read more »

Will Rogers is one of my idols. He had such a way of making sense of politics, politicians and mankind in general, and he did it in such a clever, witty, yet not offensive manner. He was everything that pundits aren’t now.
I saw this picture and I had to “honor” it with a limerick.

Internet Foodies are in a frenzy. They can only think about what are they going to make for Thanksgiving, how will they serve it, what will the table look like, and how much leftovers will there be? They are focused on the feast. Me, not so much. Don’t get me wrong, I love turkey, stuffing et all, but I can do without the fixing it. Then while amusing myself surfing the net reading the foodie fantasies, I discovered the answer to the “I can do without fixing it” dilema is in a can. WooHoo!

The ice cream sandwich ranks as the second best-selling ice cream novelty in America. The average number of ice cream sandwiches eaten per second nationally is 48. Versions of the ice cream sandwich have been around since the turn of the twentieth century with the rectangular shaped cookies and vanilla ice cream sandwich being introduced in 1945
The cookie and ice cream combination
Has been a long-time sensation.
The frozen novelty treat
Can not be beat….
And now there’s an Ice Cream Sandwich Day celebration.
