SHE STILL IS MOM TO ME
By Charles Robert Lindholm
Our DNA is not the same
though we share the same last name
it doesn’t matter much to me
about our genealogy
for you see, she still is Mom to me
She didn’t suffer with my birth
but I’ll say, for what it’s worth
there’s no one here upon this earth
that means as much to me
for you see, she still is Mom to me
Two Soulmates, side by side
when Dad took her as his bride
with a love so deep inside
you knew it was meant to be
so you see, He gave my Mom to me
Now at night she dreams of when
she can be with Dad again
but she’s happy until then
to spend, her time with me
for you see, she still is Mom to me
Our DNA is not the same
though we share the same last name
it doesn’t matter much to me
about our genealogy
for you see, she still is Mom to me
