by Penny Wilson Writes

Did you
hear it

The sound
was deafening

An intense roar
in my ears

The reverberation
rattled my bones

And thundered
through my soul

Your ego muffled
the sound

But I heard it
loud and clear

The sound of
my heartbreak

  1. I liked this a lot you have a very unique style, it is interesting how you start with the question posed to the reader/person who should have heard the sound of your heartbreak. I like how this plays with the chicken/egg concept, did you not hear it because you were not listening or did you not hear it because you already heard it and are now deaf. I am strange, just something I thought in response… I am crazy..
