Did you
hear it
The sound
was deafening
An intense roar
in my ears
The reverberation
rattled my bones
And thundered
through my soul
Your ego muffled
the sound
But I heard it
loud and clear

I liked this a lot you have a very unique style, it is interesting how you start with the question posed to the reader/person who should have heard the sound of your heartbreak. I like how this plays with the chicken/egg concept, did you not hear it because you were not listening or did you not hear it because you already heard it and are now deaf. I am strange, just something I thought in response… I am crazy..
