I FOUND A PAIR OF SPARKLING EYES

by thereluctantpoet

By Charles Robert Lindholm

I looked across

my shoulder, left

and there

to my surprise

I found a pair

of sparkling eyes

and finally

realized

You were meant

to be with me

and I am

here with you

through any type

of struggle

it’s always

me and you

we were always

meant to be

and at last

our dream’s

come true

You will

always be with me

and I

will be with you

  1. Beautiful poem, Chuck. I haven’t seen you on WordPress (apart from here) for quite a while. Are you still publishing there?

    • So Happy you enjoyed this, Ellie!! I so appreciate your sweet comment. Yes, I’m still writing but haven’t really been putting any of my new material up on my blog (rarely). Building up a stockpile for publishing a couple of books – publishers want unpublished work and WP is considered publishing – sort of like everyone wanting to be first????

If you are wanting to read poems just by me the best thing to do is search 2017-2018 using Charles Robert Lindholm as the search. I put all my titles in all caps.

Hope you are having a great weekend, My Dear! 😊💕🌹

      • Thank you for the info about reading your poetry, Chuck. I will take a look to see if I can find you there.

I, too, have been thinking for some time now about publishing some of my work, although have had mixed opinions regarding whether publishers consider publishing on WP the same as publishing elsewhere. I think it partly depends on who the publisher is. I’ve got to think about it all with care, as I have no intention of not writing my heart and soul out on my blog. It’s the place I first started writing at and it will always be very important to me. Good luck with your work being published though.

My weekend is going well, thanks, Chuck. I hope yours is, too. 😊🌷😘

    • It might be an alternative for you to consider self-publishing. That solves the Virgin Poetry issue! LOL!! 😁👍

If you enjoyed the poem. please leave a comment.
