A National Apple Pie Day Limerick

Apple Pie Day

It amazes me that so many foods have their own day. But I have found that some are inspirational and I have had fun writing a limerick for those special days that capture my fancy. And as I am a pie lover, I love a pie limerick. Here’s one more.

Apple Pie aroma is enough to entice,
So you’ll never have to ask me twice.
A treat you can rely on –
A great American icon…
I will always have me a slice!
