Vinyl Revival

by Jem Croucher
Who'd have thought it in the eighties
when vinyl was slipping
that we'd see all the usurpers fade
to crown again the king

Compact cassettes and eight-track
DAT, mini-disc, CD
all claimed to be the next best thing
to set the vinyl free

And yet in the twenty-twenties
vinyl sales are through the roof
with just streaming the contender
to undermine its truth

  1. Yes, the advent of streaming certainly has changed the availability and cost of shared music! How do musicians survive in this climate?
