Wow, I made it – I was beginning to wonder
Now my fears have all been put asunder
Much to my satisfaction
‘Cause the wagering action….
Was all coming in on the under.
I originally wrote this for my best buddy turned 70 back in July and to say that he defied the odds would be an understatement. Now it is my turn to reach this milestone and I could actually have a been a bigger longshot to make it than he was. We both have done way too many stupid and dangerous things in the last 54 years for sure, but we both survived growing up Baby Boomers and everything that went with that. Here’s to having a lot of candles to blow out and having the breath to blow them out.
