A toast to Springtime

Twelve scribings revisited; 8 of 12 in the Jemverse series ‘Malleable Days’

Springtime’s definitely on it’s way
as in the pot out front
two daffodils are glowing 
as from the earth they shunt
‘Glowing’ here and ‘growing’ 
the choice of word is right
as after winter’s iron chill 
they are a welcome sight

And as each day gets brighter 
and the sunshine grows in strength
their warmth will be reflected
in daylight’s increased length
A cause for celebration
I feel no one would decry
so here’s a toast to Springtime
as the winter passes by
