A When My Mouth Goes South Limerick

by Joel Kravitz

Mark Twain

“It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.” ~Mark Twain

My mouth can be a hazardous spout
When it doesn’t know what’s going to come out.
My brain and mouth rarely sync,
I foolishly speak before I think….
With me, there’s never been any doubt!
