Days

by Jem Croucher

Days I can throw wide abandon
open the window and sing
breathing in deep the fresh morning air
warmed by the sunshine of Spring

Such as these made for enrichment
filling us each with sublime
for spring to the step and joy to the heart
in which we all are entwined

  1. I am still waiting for that day in 2021 when I can throw open the windows with abandonment! This poem heightens my anticipation ❤

  2. I enjoyed this capture of spring … here in Maryland, we’ve been treated to warming days and it feels wonderful. The past winter felt like a slog to get through, so the warm and colors are so very welcoming.
