Homes

by Venkat

time is water
taped on an unbending light
these pages stand
high eyed frogs
nights hemmed on verdana

memory is a pocket
sealed on an unending plight
these eyes flow
low tide crabs
caves in heart, turtle’s back

boats of gold
live longer in quiet pastels
these words mimic
till red bands cover the green
songs from gypsy’s homes
