THE WIND WHISPERS

by thereluctantpoet

BY CHARLES ROBERT LINDHOLM

THE WIND WHISPERS
IN THE TREES
THE LEAVES
RUSTLE THEIR REPLIES

THE PIED PIPER WIND
SPINS STORIES
TELLING TEMPTING LIES

COME FLY AWAY
COME FLY AWAY
UPON MY GENTLE BREEZE
LEAVE THE TREES
COME BE WITH ME
FAR, FAR FROM EARTHBOUND TREES

COME BE WITH ME
COME DREAM WITH ME
COME LOOK AT ALL YOU’LL SEE
DRIFTING ON A GENTLE BREEZE
IF YOU’LL COME WITH ME

THE WIND WHISPERS
TO THE LEAVES
AND THEY BELIEVE
BUT THE AUTUMN WIND LIES

  1. Where I sit, the autumn wind whispers truth!
Tune in your other ear and hear!
Hear the wind whisper love through the leaves!
    Hear with your loving ear.
