A Wear A Mask Limerick

Every government around the world is pounding out this message loud and clear non-stop. We have a world health crisis. Science and data says this is a best practice to contain it and diminish its deadly effects.

But there are still lots of people who think that their personal freedom is being violated by a government request that they contribute to controlling COVID19 until science finds a vaccine or a cure. If “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” then conversely “an ounce of promotion is worth a pound of pandemic.” Let’s not spike for spite. WEAR A MASK WHEN YOU GO OUT.

A reasonable expectation of consideration,
It’s not like we’re asking for a kidney donation.
When out, PUT ON A MASK –
We shouldn’t have to ask….
Protect yourself and help save your nation.

  1. Hi not in the UK it’s not …. confusing and contradictory messages about masks. They’re compulsory on public transport, that’s about it. Probably why we have more deaths than anywhere except US or perhaps now Brazil. Good Limerick.

  2. Clever limerick with sooooo much common sense. COMMon sense or COMMerce? MENtal health or MENtal anquish? CONsideration or CONfusion? The choices are ours.
