A Pandemic Appearance Limerick

I can’t post a selfie because it would be a scary. I look like a cross between Santa Claus and Doc Brown from Back To The Future. I start every day the same way. I walk into the bathroom, look in the mirror, scream, do a costume change from pj’s to sweatpants and head to the kitchen to make coffee.

This old dog hasn’t been to the groomer since mid-February. The last time I wore pants that didn’t have an elastic waistband was the second week in March. I have been doing the #stayhomegounkempt thing since then – no belts or zippers required.

It would only take a quick glance
To see I’m a victim of circumstance.
I’m a pandemic exile
And it’s been quite a while…
Since I shaved and wore regular pants!
