Coo of Night

cropped bank of river

In cathedrals of green.  The stately tall pillar stems.

With the occasional leafy green covering noisily rustling in the wind.

Toads and crickets sing their chorus.

As the moon – a candle – lights the scene.

Streaming white – cool as night.  Yet warm as spring.

Notably, yellow firefly dart and sing.

Summer is such as these.
