The Yellow II

by Jem Croucher

You know I’ve quite missed the yellow
in all of the blue
that’s been hanging around for a while
So it’s good to find colour
reminiscent of Spring
that brings with it zest and a smile

It’s right there in the sunshine
and daffodils too
poking their heads from the ground
The harshness of winter
slip slides away
as they rise to the warmth they have found

  1. I’d love to see that smile of yellow, but alas, it is buried under at least a foot and a half of snow in my yard, with more coming. Brrr!!
