“if it doesn’t come bursting out of you
in spite of everything,
don’t do it.
unless it comes unasked out of your
heart and your mind and your mouth
and your gut,
don’t do it.”
― Charles Bukowski

Lost in your thoughts

in complete awe of your

lost in the reverie

of your shiny visage

taking stock of my emotions

Here I sit alone

in the moment of solitude

getting lost in the translation

of the most archaic feeling

and feeling completely bewildered

by the hopeless feeling

nestled deep down in

my sanguine heart

and trying fervently

to weave that nefarious plot

that ultimate deception

of tricking myself into

falling out of love.

  1. Quite an observation and well written. Easily described a usually subtle and complex feeling or state. And, I sense Trick is an apt title.

  2. Well I would love to be in it for as long. There is a pleasure in melancholy. 😉
