“Today is affection”

.

Life is lonely,
confusing,
scary,
and soul scorching.

unsettling;
i am not clever,
a rouse in nature.

we grow older
with knife wounds in our bellies
and a looming emptiness inside
inching forward in measured step.

trepidation.

hiding true feelings
just below a silver shavings scratch off surface car dealership paper in the mail.

we were born liars and cheaters building up relationships for personal gain.

i am blind and will never understand.

this life was too rich for my blood anyways.
