By Charles Robert Lindholm
Sometimes I Have Fantasies
About How Great It Would Be,
To Be Able To Go Back In Time
But Then I Wonder?
How Much Of A Mess
I Might End Up Creating
On The One Hand
And Yet,
How Maybe,
I Could Bring About
Wonderful Changes
Centuries Earlier
Than The Time They Appeared
Electricity
Health Advances
Sanitation
Indoor Plumbing
Agricultural Advances
And
The List Would Go
On And On And On And On
I Could Be A Huge
Benefit To Mankind
And Probably Famous
And Wealthy Too
But?
Then I Think About
All The People Who
Lived After My
“Go Back Time”
Who Might Never Be
And Realize I Don’t Want
To Be The One Who Caused
Millions Who Were
To Never Be
Alas,
Time Is Meant To Move
Forward At The Pace
Designed for the Universe
Without Any
Meddling
Or Interference
From Me
Or Anyone Else
But It Is A Fun
Daydream
From Time To Time
In A Fantasy
But
In Reality
A Time Machine
Isn’t Really
A Good Idea
