Thread of Life

by Venkat

on this round leaf, of blue and brown
you let me in, a tendril with a heart
curling my feelings, of yesterday
thinning my dreams, into tomorrow

on this air from seas, nestled in eyes
you set me in, a leaf with a mind
thoughts homeless, of yesterday
wheels of winds, for a home tommorow

on this stone of hope, a patient window
you put me in, a thread on silken feet
knots worn in loops, of yesterday
sit on frozen nights, on hopes too short
knitted happy by needles, of tomorrow
fab on ashes kissed, on hopes too long
