A winter poem, for children

White is winter.

Drifting snow showers those below.

And a tiny Chickadee goes a-round the

feeding tray. Foraging on small bird seeds.

Junco too flutter here and there.

Make their way from branch to branch.

Tiny feet follow a-long a white lined path.

Winter is here.

Gloves, scarfs and toques keep us warm.

A coat shields from the cold.

Layers of clothes are worn in winter.

And snowmen are formed by rolling

round snowballs on the ground.

Hello winter.

But spring will come a-gain.

When we’re ready for galoshes and the rain!
