Her Pain

He tells you stop talking
To shut your mouth
Says that your nothing
And slaps you around

To the floor
Your falling fast
Counting the seconds
To how long it will last

Covered in makeup
To hide the violence
Stitches in your mouth
Keep your voice silent

Your hiding your pain
Saying that you just fell
As the brusies show through
Another lie you must tell

You try to run
Seek a place to hide
Dream of something different
So you close your eyes

To a place you go
So deep in your mind
A hidden safe place
That he can’t find
