The thing about yellow
is that no matter how grey
the sight of it’s likely
to brighten your day
It could be in the sunshine
or on a passing car
or the colour of morning
seen from afar
It could be in a flower
or a plane in the sky
or just something you see
when hurrying by
But one thing’s for sure
and absolutely for me
that yellow says smile
unequivocally
