I don’t set fires
I don’t spray graffiti on walls
I’m not into

I am addicted to ink
and putting it on paper
one letter at a time
with each stroke of my pen

building on the others
until I’ve painted
a picture
in your mind
with words

I want to touch your heart
and bring tears to your eyes
I want to make your soul
want to soar through the skies

I’m addicted to ink
on paper
visible in words
that I hope you will
read and love

and become
addicted to
as well
