By Charles Robert Lindholm
The Flames Of Hell
In My Life No Longer
Exist
Or
Reach For The Sky
With Billowing Smoke
Blocking The Light
From The Sun
The Hell Of The Past
Has Ended
Long Ago
But The Embers
Still Remain
Aglow With
A Fire
That Won’t
Be Quenched
In A Futile
But Never Ending
Attempt
At Burning
Memories
From The Past
Memories
That Burn
And Smolder
But Will Not
Be Consumed
With A Smoke
That Rises
Like Incense
In My Soul
From Embers
That Remain
