Snapshot

by Jem Croucher

Once more I am waiting
on a station, it’s dark
It’s been a long day
and I was up with the lark

There’s a train in the distance
to take me back home
so I caught its arrival
right there on my phone

Insignificant? Yes
A small chunk of life
but it’s taking me back
to my dog and my wife

And I’m grateful for that
as small things like this
bring me a little more
joy and some bliss

  1. Well said, Jem.
It is easy to crib and quibble about the mundane events of our life.
However, it takes a set of keen observations to appreciate the moments of bliss in our humdrum existence.

  2. One of those little things
Nobody would want to miss 🙂
