by A. L. O'Prunty

~  As Dawn Broke

Fog lay dense, heavy

Ghostly images of tree lines

Scattered amongst the gray;

No shadow of existence

Just the caul of the crow

Caught within the grip

Of a macabre morning

Perched on a crumbling
