Above the silent bay at midnight

in the sea reflected sky,

there shines a silver moon

amidst barred clouds,

like a bloom

shines the silver stillness of the moon.

There is joy in the shining light

that walks on water

and speaks to all men

in a place of absolute peace –

tranquility’s den,

the quiet water the shore does hem.

It is out of the swing of the sea

and into the drowsy calm,

a part of the world

that is beautifully dressed

in shimmer and pearls,

water lapping in silent swirls.
