By Charles Robert Lindholm
It was fleeting
but it was wonderful
like a comet
through my life
A love to last a lifetime
but only as a memory
of the season we shared
together in love
With summer breezes
and starry nights
and ocean waves
breaking on the shore
We loved the days
and nights away
with a burning passion
until they disappeared
It was a once
in a lifetime love
and my heart
and soul remembers
Sweet kisses
and the rush of oneness
with you
and precious moments
from a love that was
meant to be
but not
forever
It was fleeting
but it was wonderful
a Comet of Love
in my life
that was
mine
for awhile
