The Pigeon Traveller

by Jem Croucher

Met a pigeon on the tube
on the Metropolitan line
Wondered where he might be going
at this rather early time
Several stations sprang to mind
Canary Wharf was one
And Peckham was another
which rather seemed like fun

But he was heading northward
and got off at Wembley Park
So I was none the wiser
clueless and in the dark

  1. It’s an interesting poem, Jem.
We’re all pigeons, traversing our own routes, and meeting fellow pigeons on our way.
It’s destiny that brings us fellow beings together!
