Summer-Time and You

Summer-Time and You

The warmth of the patio on sunny day’s.

Sunbeams stream to caress ones cheek.

Delicate blooms seen in red’s and pink.

A-top the trellis a squirrel saunters by.

As tiny birds rest between latticework.

A pea-pod, green, dangles off the vine.

And cherry tomatoes attempt to ripen.

Their pine-y scent tantalize the senses.

Such is the warmth of the patio at noon.

Shared with you it’s especially inviting.
