By Charles Robert Lindholm

the hard way to learn
is don’t listen
don’t heed
the warnings you see

danger ahead
it reads clearly
run like the wind
break free

slow to believe
you still wonder
could it be
as bad as they say

too late
for you to recover
an experience
painfully taught

tuition in life
is expensive
paid with the heartache
you bought
