The Collector

How lovely is the bumble bee
As he floats from flower to flower
Storing pollen on his knees
Seeking bounty under the bower.
He chooses each tender stem
With a lackadaisical flare
Yet each one is a precious gem
Filled with golden pollen rare.
He drinks of their sweet nectar
To take back to the nest
He is a sustenance collector
Gathering food on his quest.
But in this miraculous course
The bumble bee helps mankind
He spreads pollen from source to source
As God in his greatness designed.
