THE CHOICE REMAINS

by thereluctantpoet

By Charles Robert Lindholm

choices, choices everywhere

but not the will to think

wanting to just wait and see

and hide behind a drink

hoping that the choice will pass

somehow washed away

the mind awakes

to find the truth

the choice remains

another day
