I want to be a jaguar

by Harry

Submitted by Peter M Burns

I want to be a jaguar
And purr and purr all day.
Or maybe a hyena
And laugh my cares away.
Or simply be a donkey
And grey the time in play,

Till I become more human
And practice what they say
About all the animals in
This Earthly Park
The walkers, crawlers, flyers
Who live in light and dark,
And those who lie in shadow,
And those who bite or bark
As we are all together,
Explorers of this Global Ark.
