Cheerful Endurance

by Abigail Gronway

The waiting has been long, but I
Refuse to sigh.
I’ve made my choice
To still my voice.

For patience comes to happy souls,
Though distant goals
May sometimes seem
To be a dream.

And so enduring ever more
For open door,
I’ll wait til then
To enter in.
