By Charles Robert Lindholm
I’m an old toy
up on a shelf
replaced by a new one
I’m all by myself
I’m not bright and shiny
I’m older it’s true
though just as much fun
as one that is new
but she’s put me away
it’s not what I wanted
no longer her playmate
this closet is haunted
with
memories
of
her
