Moon Kiss
-Linda Lee Lyberg
When the moon kisses the sea
The waters are peacefully still
And night becomes so bright.
The stars all make their plea
We must shine on at our will
When the moon kisses the sea.
The whales all sing with glee
As mother moon’s sonnet fills
And night becomes so bright.
The night birds fly and soar free
To dance to the sonnet’s trill
When the moon kisses the sea.
The ship takes shelter in the lee
And slows to behold the thrill
And night becomes so bright.
Then all the colorful fishes flee
And chase the swimming krill
When the moon kisses the sea
And night becomes so bright.
