Mama Bird Laid Two Eggs

by Harry

Submitted by Zenei

Mama bird laid two eggs,
Now she rarely stretches her legs.
At the foot of my aloe plant,
Which on a pot stands aslant.
One is bigger than the other,
Because the other came later.

Papa bird is always close by,
With his small head held high.
Or is it Mama? I cannot tell.
For they appear parallel.
Seems they take turns to sit,
Duties to keep them tightly knit.
One month, they’ll be my guest,
Till they all leave for another quest.
