I miss being me.

by Harry

Submitted by Hazel Jay

I wish to walk the sea
Basking in the white light
Unknown of shadows lurking.

A soft voice whispering
Seeking to tantalise.
I strode forward, wanting
Unrequited love, I realise.

The earth stood silent
And the winds blew.
In the time that wept,
I withdrew.

Of loneliness and fears
A grief stricken heart.
It cried out, ‘Alas’!,
Gazing down at it.
