A Kiss

by lindaluna583

Who knew the power of a touch—
that a kiss could transform
client to merchant
borrower to lender
ordinary to astounding
farewell to sweet hello
I’ve tasted the forbidden fruit
Should that fruit prove to be poisoned
then I ask you to revive me
with another kiss

  1. Aww those lines are so cute!

  2. Dear Linda, Those lines are so revealing of the awesome power of touch, but especially of the overwhelming power of a Kiss! The body and soul can scarcely resist the temptation of an unexpected kiss! I loved the humor but truth expressed by the soul in your last lines –
“Should that fruit prove to be poisoned
then I ask you to revive me
    with another kiss”.

This is just another version of the wonderfully stated theme for me – More, please! (from Oliver Twist). Also, very clever the transition of positions in the situation. A delightful read! Bravo, Dear Linda, Bravo!

Racing to the top of the chart??? Ha!
