Baffled and blue

Baffled and blue all the day through.
Tested and tried until something within almost died.
Wandering through the Pines on a cold winter day.
Coldness of day with no song to play.

Sings a tune anyway, Keep the cold at bay.
Echoes through the forest, a sad old song.
No choir to sing nor band to play. Only the birds understand what’s wrong…
Fly away.
