A year becomes a memory
Time to move on

  1. wow small message yet deep enough to explain a whole story

  2. Yes, I will agree on the previous comment “small message yet deep enough to explain a whole story”! Well said. This is especially true if You are walking the halls of college the next day after graduation! It does give You that hopeful, but melancholy feeling too! You know that You have just walked into the biggest phase of Your life! Silent Halls echo Loudly!

What a masterful capture of that sweet and bittersweet moment in time where You can touch the walls and feel time moving on! Super!!! Bravo, Bravo. Gold stars and Hearts for You, Dear Lady!

    • Thank you for your comment. I hadn’t thought of it that way, but you’re absolutely right. I guess it’s a good thing I don’t “explain” my poems. I originally wrote this from the teacher’s perspective, and thinking in particular of a fellow teacher who was moving and would not be returning to the school the following year. We greatly missed her! The next year it was my turn to move on. And the same is absolutely true of the graduate as well.

Think back to your high school or college graduation and walking the halls of your school after everyone left. Relive those memories with Angela’s wonderful poem “LAST DAY (2) SENRYU”
